Gyptec Ibérica evaluates its significant environmental aspects and identifies the risks and opportunities associated to its activities according to standards EN ISO 9001: 2015 and EN ISO 14001: 2015.

Based on this assessment, it plans actions in order to address those risks and formulate strategies to optimize its quality and environmental performance.

The actions developed in 2018 allowed the following improvements to be achieved by area of operation:

   - The presence in several fairs and events allowed to diversify and expand the client portfolio.

Production process:
   - Throughout the year 2018, Gyptec Ibérica verified an increase of production that completely exceeded the objective set in this scope.

  - The implementation of several mechanical measures allowed the optimization of nonconforming product by incorporation into the production process, leading to several environmental advantages.

Human resources:
  - More and more people are seeking and practicing a healthy life. One of Gyptec's goals, set for 2018, was to combat sedentary lifestyle, obesity and unhealthy habits that are still routinely experienced. In this sense, in order to promote healthy living habits, as well as socializing among employees, Gyptec has supported and has developed actions to promote sports events taking place in locations near the organization, and has sponsored the enrollment of its employees in this type of events. In addition, the First Walking Tour was organized, involving the employees and family of the Preceram Group, which culminated in a convivial lunch.
Gyptec believes that welfare has no borders and no age. It is made of choices and is a choice for life. And it is to help in these choices, day after day, that Gyptec intends to maintain such initiatives related to the practice of healthy lifestyle.

Gyptec has been working to reduce the environmental impact caused by the factory activity and the waste of plasterboard from the construction sector, with the development of actions leading, for example, the incorporation of the waste produced. In 2018, it was incorporated into the manufacturing process more 20% of recyclable plasterboard, when compared to 2017.
